Drop-In Music Class


Saturdays at 11am

Join us for the same singing, dancing, and instrument play you know and love from your Kindermusik class, but specially designed to be appropriate for the whole family and to fit your busy schedule! All ages, newborn - 5 years, are invited to attend with an actively participating grownup (or two!). The class fee of $20/family is payable at the door. No advance reservations are required.

Artful Afternoons - New!


Wednesdays 3pm - 5pm

Want to get creative with your child without spending hours setting up and cleaning up for one art project?

Drop in for an art-filled afternoon at A Sound Start. We provide all the tools and materials, you bring a little artist and lots of imagination, and leave the clean-up to us. If you need help getting started, we'll post instructions for one project every week.

Artful Afternoons is open as a weekly make-and-take during the summer months. This is an unstructured program which will not be led by an instructor, so children must be supervised by an adult at ALL TIMES. Seats are available to 8 children at a time, on a first-come, first-served basis. Seats may not be reserved in advance. The materials fee of $5/child is payable at the door.

Indoor Play Space


Wednesdays 2pm - 4pm

It's raining, the library is closed, and you can't stand being in the house for another second - come play with us!

During the fall and winter seasons, our studio is open as an unstructured play space for children 3 years old and younger. Your child will enjoy music, books, toys, and socialization with other children while you relax with hot tea and the company of other adults.

We are open for play November - March. Families enrolled in a class at A Sound Start play for free; there is a $5 fee for non-students. Check this week's schedule to see if our play space is open this week.
